About the Role

Amcor is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to provide frontline leadership and technical support within our manufacturing operations. Manufacturing Team Leads are responsible for supporting operations within one of our key production areas, including Extrusion, Press, Slitting, and Converting. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting team development, driving safety and quality performance, and ensuring department goals are achieved. The Manufacturing Team Lead works closely with operators, supervisors, maintenance, planning, quality, and other support teams to maximize production performance while fostering a high-performance culture.

What You'll Do

• Act as a safety leader and promote a safety-first culture in all activities
• Direct and coordinate day-to-day production activities based on customer demand and production schedules
• Support operators and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production
• Provide coverage and hands-on support across manufacturing operations as needed
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams to prioritize work and meet customer requirements
• Assist supervisors with administering policies, resolving employee concerns, and supporting positive employee relations
• Provide coaching, instruction, and on-the-job training to team members
• Support employee development and help build technical capabilities across the department
• Monitor production performance and communicate results through standard work and shift communication processes
• Assist with investigations involving safety incidents, near misses, and quality concerns while supporting root cause corrective actions
• Partner with Quality teams to resolve product defects, customer complaints, and process issues
• Partner with Maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost
• Support shift handoff communication to ensure operational continuity across crews
• Analyze production challenges and implement corrective actions to improve results
• Ensure compliance with all product safety, food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and operational documentation
• Serve as a backup resource for supervisors as needed
• Drive accountability while promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a positive workplace culture
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Must Have

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
• Previous leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a positive attitude
• Proficiency with computer systems and basic Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to support and coordinate production activities across multiple departments

Preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing lead, team lead, or frontline leadership role
• Experience supporting employee training and development programs
• Working knowledge of SAP, AIMS, RF systems, ColorCert, or similar manufacturing systems
• Experience in printing, extrusion, slitting, converting, packaging, or flexible packaging manufacturing environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting experience
• Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience
• Experience analyzing production metrics and driving performance improvements
