Georgia-Pacific has an exciting opportunity for a talented Performance Development Leader for Utilities at our Brunswick Cellulose facility in Brunswick, GA. Reporting to the Utilities Area Leader, this role provides frontline operational leadership across all shifts, develops the Shift Supervisors who run them, and serves as a cultural leader for the department. The successful candidate brings strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to constructively challenge the status quo, and a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration.

The Brunswick Cellulose facility is the largest integrated fluff pulp mill in the country, with a modern woodyard, fiberline, three paper machines, waste treatment plant, and utilities operations. Brunswick sits on the Georgia coast, midway between Savannah, GA and Jacksonville, FL, near the Golden Isles of St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Little St. Simons Island, and Jekyll Island. What You Will Do

• Lead a culture of safety and environmental excellence on every shift, where no production or cost objective overrides safety.
• Own execution of the daily operating plan across all shifts, with consistent performance against production, quality, and usage targets.
• Lead, develop, and hold Shift Supervisors accountable, building their capability to lead their crews and run the operation.
• Support the Utilities Area Leader in developing salaried talent and building operational depth for the department.
• Drive a bottom-up "shift runs a shift" culture in which the front line owns shift decisions, problem solving, and improvement.
• Ensure disciplined use of the Operating System, including tier meetings, standard work, structured problem solving, and effective shift handoffs.
• Own personnel-related fixed costs and the business continuity plan for hourly roles, and support the Utilities Area Leader with salaried continuity planning.
• Partner with Performance Development Leaders in other areas to ensure consistency across the organization, and hold peers accountable for work process improvements identified by your teams.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Technical, EHS, and Learning & Development to support reliable operations and build bench strength.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Three (3) or more years of experience directly leading others to support and improve performance against individual capability gaps
• Experience working in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment
• Ability to work extended hours when necessary, serve on a weekend duty team on a rotational basis, and lead a shift if required

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in utilities, power, or pulp and paper operations
• Experience with tiered daily management, standard work, or a formal operating system
• Experience training employees and working in a union manufacturing environment
• Understanding of the DuPont schedule, and experience with Kronos and the Microsoft Office Suite
