Position Title Nursing Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
FLSA Non-Exempt
FT/PT Part Time
Hours Per Week 25
Work Schedule Monday-Friday
Position Salary Range $25 hourly
Summary
Provides direct administrative support to the Nurse Education Program under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Works closely with the Health and Sciences Division Office staff to support Nursing Program administrative tasks and initiatives, including support for continuing accreditation.
Essential Role Responsibilities
*Assist with coordination for registration of nursing cohorts.
*Assist with administrative tasks in Trajecsys clinical tracker site.
*Assist with word processing and formatting professional documents.
*Work with other College departments for the collection of data needed for reports and initiatives.
*Maintain course and clinical evaluation data and disseminate graduate surveys.
*Assist in collecting information for various forms required by the Registrar's Office.
*Maintain current list of individual student files in Division drive for accreditation compliance and upload of documents.
*Upload OSHA fit testing forms for the Nursing students and faculty.
*Work with Print Shop to provide NCLEX 2nd Generation materials for students and adjunct faculty.
*Assist in obtaining quotes from vendors for program-wide purchases.
*Assist Director of Nursing with planning and submitting requests for conferences and travel.
*Provide administrative support for nursing related events, including obtaining professional development credit, staffing event tables, and assisting Division office with preparations for Nursing Pinning Ceremonies.
*Assist with scheduling ATI Exit Exams for the graduating cohorts.
*Assist with maintaining the Nursing Canvas Sites (Full-time Faculty, Adjunct Faculty, Virtual Reality, and Accreditation sites).
*Other program-specific administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Required High School or equivalent
Experience Required
*Three years of experience providing highly detailed administrative support in an office setting; Associate's degree preferred.
*Experience in higher education and knowledge of Nursing programs a plus.
*Experience with Canvas and Ellucian Colleague a plus.
*High level proficiency in word processing and use of spreadsheet and database software.
*Excellent oral and written communication.
*Knowledge of standard office procedures.
*Formal and continuous training as necessary to efficiently perform duties in this position.
Other Requirements
*Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
*Regular attendance is a requirement of this job.
*Attention to detail.
*Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.
