We are seeking a dynamic and proactive specialist to spearhead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of company-wide supply chain inventory strategies. In this role, you won't just manage materials; you'll be a key player in optimizing our supply chain, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. As a Materials Management and Logistics Specialist, you will lead all aspects of planning, monitoring, and delivery of inventory material across the supply chain. You will be instrumental in analyzing usage patterns, forecasting future requirements, and collaborating with strategic sourcing to assess market trends, pricing, and quality standards. This role involves critical interaction with vendors, internal stakeholders, and auditors, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills to achieve optimal value for the company.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, implement, and manage inventory strategies to support the supply chain process for assigned commodities, aligning with corporate and departmental policies.
• Research and develop in-depth knowledge of assigned commodities, including manufacturing processes, specifications, and company usage.
• Analyze inventory consumption data, levels, work order signals, and outstanding delivery orders to make informed ordering decisions and place purchase orders.
• Provide recommendations for supply chain process improvements and considerations.
• Ensure end-user requirements are consistently satisfied and maintain a stable supply of high-quality materials.
• Monitor the timeliness of deliveries and supplier performance, identifying and addressing patterns.
• Assess and implement various inventory methods, such as consignment or Vendor Managed/Owned Inventory, and forecasting techniques (MRP) in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing.
• Conduct supply planning and analysis, alongside managing supplier performance and relationships.
• Accurately create and modify material master records within the SAP Materials Management Module, adhering to naming standards, audit, and software requirements.
• Participate in user testing for system revisions and upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse personnel on all aspects of materials management, including stocking levels, jobsite deliveries, and managing new or obsolete materials.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams on material standardization initiatives.
• Periodically review material forecasts against actual demand and make necessary recommendations or adjustments.
• Communicate project material requirements and timelines effectively to contracted suppliers.
• Work with Strategic Sourcing to ensure suppliers are held accountable to contract terms.

What You'll Bring:

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain roles.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and procurement principles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
