Department: School of Professional Studies
Salary/Grade: NEX/10

Target hiring range for this position will be between $21.50 to $23.75 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:

Students In Registrations/Petitions, Conduct Audits, and assist the SPS Registrar's Office In Maintaining Accurate Student Records.

Specific Responsibilities:

Record Maintenance

  • Maintain student affairs petition process
  • File auditing
  • Updating student records
  • Assisting with end of term processing of academic records
  • Assisting students with registration and payments
  • Maintain and update department web content

Cert Audit/Admin Drop

  • Maintain Administrative Drops Process
  • Conduct Graduation audits and evaluations for SPS undergraduate and graduate certificate students.
  • Process the certificates for all undergraduate and graduate programs.

Customer Service

  • Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Greet constituents entering and calling the registration office with a service-oriented attitude and address inquires with service excellence.
  • Construct and respond to email communications in a professional manner with strong writing skills.
  • Follow up on inquiries in a timely fashion, having done the necessary and sufficient research to bring issues to closure.
  • Recognize issues that have the potential to escalate and handle with keen business acumen.

Miscellaneous

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances)

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years previous work experience with student records, including transcripts
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Time Management
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to consistently and accurately maintain a variety of recordkeeping requirements
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with students, faculty, colleagues and supervisors.
  • Team Oriented

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of previous work experience with student records including transcripts.
  • Previous work experience with student information databases
  • Previous work experience in a higher education institution.

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  • Knowledge of Cascade
  • Detail Oriented
