2nd Shift Maintenance Operator

Metalcraft of Mayville is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Operator to join our team!

In this role, you'll help keep our facility and equipment running safely and efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and completing repairs as needed. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with a variety of tools and equipment, and able to work independently to identify and resolve maintenance issues.

Complete preventative maintenance according to established schedules
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and equipment issues
• Perform general repairs and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility structures
• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove and replace defective components
• Read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
• Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, Perform routine inspections of equipment and facility systems
• and other maintenance equipment
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices when needed
• Assist with and oversee outside contractors when specialized repairs are required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

• High school diploma or GED required

• Technical degree or related education preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Experience performing preventative and routine equipment maintenance

• Proficiency with hand and power tools

• Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation

• Experience using precision measuring instruments and/or electronic testing devices

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively

• Dependable with strong follow-through

• Ability to work independently while maintaining focus and productivity

• Professional attitude and commitment to workplace safety

Equipment Operated: Forklift, measurement devices, wrenches, screwdrivers, AWP, and various other hand and power tools.
