Job Summary
The Electrical Assembler I performs skilled assembly work to produce quality electrical switchgear and related products in a timely manner. This role follows verbal and written instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to complete assigned assembly functions. The assembler is responsible for maintaining production progress, identifying material shortages or issues, and inspecting and testing completed products for quality and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical switchgear and related components according to drawings, blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions to complete assigned production tasks.
• Maintain expected production progress and communicate part shortages, quality concerns, and other issues.
• Inspect and test finished products to verify conformance with specifications and applicable codes.
• Operate hand, power, pneumatic, and other production tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S and workplace safety procedures.
• Properly handle materials, equipment, tools, and finished products.
• Follow established quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.

Job Requirements

• Experience in electrical assembly or a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, blueprints, schematics, and written instructions.
• Ability to use hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to use measuring and testing equipment.
• Ability to safely perform physical assembly and material-handling activities.
• Ability to identify and communicate production, quality, and material issues.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Wilsonville, OR; active-duty military candidates are exempt from this geographic requirement.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Experience

• Previous electrical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using drill presses, press brakes, forklifts, jib cranes, templates, fixtures, hand carts, or related manufacturing equipment is preferred.
