Safety Director

Location: Sanford, FL (Multi-Site Travel Required)

Pay Rate: $64,000-$111,000 annually

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: Multi-site position requiring regular travel | Training on 1st Shift

• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• OSHA certifications and advanced safety training highly preferred.
• Additional safety, risk management, or construction safety certifications are a plus.

• Prior experience as a Safety Director is required.
• Strong background in construction safety; solar construction or solar panel industry experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigations, jobsite inspections, and safety compliance.
• Experience maintaining OSHA 300 and OSHA 300A logs.
• Experience developing Site/Life-Saving Procedures (SLPs), safety programs, and corrective action plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively between multiple locations and active construction sites.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk active jobsites, inspect work areas, and navigate uneven terrain.
• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Florida and Georgia, including occasional overnight travel as needed.

• Lead and oversee safety operations for multiple construction and solar panel installation sites.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and Site/Life-Saving Procedures (SLPs).
• Maintain OSHA 300/300A logs, safety records, and compliance documentation.
• Deliver safety training and provide guidance to management, field personnel, and Safety Coordinators.
• Monitor compliance with PPE, fall protection, electrical safety, and other construction safety requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives across all locations.
