Applications Engineer - Exterior Systems Design & Release Engineer Location: Dearborn, MI Pay Rate: $42.31/hour Ready to help shape the next generation of automotive technology? We're seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and release of exterior vehicle systems in a fast-paced engineering environment. This opportunity is ideal for engineers with automotive product development experience who enjoy solving complex design challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, validate, and release exterior vehicle components including bumpers, grilles, battery trays, wheel arch liners, and underbody systems Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams to deliver projects on time and within budget Support component testing, validation, durability reviews, and root cause analysis Manage engineering documentation, bills of materials (BOMs), design changes, and release activities Drive continuous improvements focused on quality, performance, cost reduction, and manufacturability Support prototype builds, vehicle launches, and production implementation activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field Minimum 3 years of automotive engineering, release engineering, or exterior systems development experience Experience with CATIA, Teamcenter, 3DX, CAD modeling, and product lifecycle management tools Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, component packaging, and validation methods Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter/Parking Accounts People Perks Health Savings Account (HSA) AD&D Insurance Apply Now!
