Position Summary
The DHTS Application Analyst III provides revenue cycle-focused technical, analytical, and project coordination support for:

Management Services Organization (MSO) development and new opportunity/pipeline management,

PRMO and Health System AI and automation initiatives supporting margin improvement, reducing administrative burden and improved financial outcomes. Efforts include (but are not limited to):

  Research and recommend automation tools for streamlining new system build and testing in support of growth and expansion efforts,

  
  

• 
  

  Support strategic AI roadmap deliverables, including Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), autonomous coding and Pre-Service Verification (PSV) (electronic authorizations) deployment efforts.

  
  

Strategic growth, including virtual patient care expansion, and digital enablement initiatives, and

Cross-domain milestone & effort management with DHTS and business partners such as PRMO, DHIP and Duke Health leadership teams.

This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements, coordinate milestones, manage dependencies, and support successful implementation of scalable growth & expansion efforts.

The role also serves as a subject matter expert and partners with DHTS teams to support discovery, readiness, and transition planning for new growth and expansion relationships adopting enterprise DHTS tools.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Support MSO setup, optimization, and expansion by standardizing processes, workflows, and implementation plans.

  
  

• 
  

  Coordinate project deliverables across operational, revenue cycle, clinical, virtual care, and digital workstreams, including identified AI & automation efforts.

  
  

• 
  

  Partner with DHTS leaders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, establish timelines, and monitor progress.

  
  

• 
  

  Track dependencies, risks, issues, and action items; escalate barriers that may affect timelines or outcomes.

  
  

• 
  

  Facilitate meetings, working sessions, and status updates to maintain stakeholder alignment.

  
  

• 
  

  Develop and maintain project documentation, including work plans, status reports, process maps, meeting notes, and deliverable trackers.

  
  

• 
  

  Assess current-state workflows and support future-state process designs that improve efficiency, scalability, and consistency.

  
  

• 
  

  Coordinate readiness activities for new market growth, service line expansion, onboarding, and implementation.

  
  

• 
  

  Support virtual care expansion to increase access, extend Duke Health's reach, and help attain additional covered lives.

  
  

• 
  

  Advance digital enablement strategies that strengthen existing Duke Health service lines and support growth readiness.

  
  

• 
  

  Collaborate with leaders to define success metrics, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement.

  
  

• 
  

  Serve as a liaison across departments to promote clear communication, accountability, and timely execution.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, nursing, finance, or a related field.

  
  

• 
  

  Five or more years of experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, clinical operations, project management, consulting, or business process improvement.

  
  

• 
  

  Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities.

  
  

• 
  

  Working knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle functions.

  
  

• 
  

  Strong project coordination, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  
  

• 
  

  Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  
  

• 
  

  Ability to analyze workflows, identify gaps, and support scalable solutions.

  
  

• 
  

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project tracking tools.

  
  

• 
  

  Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  

  Experience supporting MSO structures, physician practice management, ambulatory operations, virtual care, digital enablement, or healthcare expansion initiatives.

  
  

• 
  

  Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or change management frameworks.

  
  

• 
  

  Experience with EHR, practice management, revenue cycle, and reporting platforms.

  
  

• 
  

  Background in implementation planning, operational readiness, post-acquisition integration, or service line expansion.
