Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and analytically driven Manager, Content Strategy & Insights to help shape the future of content marketing at PIMCO. This role combines content strategy, audience intelligence, performance measurement, competitive insights, and AI-enabled innovation to help drive greater business impact from PIMCO's thought leadership and content ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strong marketer, communicator, and problem solver who can translate complex investment themes into compelling content strategies, synthesize data into actionable recommendations, and develop scalable approaches that improve how content is created, distributed, discovered, and optimized.

This individual will serve as a strategic partner across investment teams, channel marketing, digital marketing, and regional marketing teams while leading initiatives that connect content strategy, measurement, technology, and AI-driven capabilities into a cohesive operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Content strategy & Narrative development

• Partner with investment teams, product marketing, and marketing stakeholders to develop content strategies aligned with business objectives and client needs.
• Translate complex investment concepts into compelling narratives, thought leadership programs, and integrated content campaigns.
• Support content planning across owned, earned, social, digital, and event channels.
• Leverage audience insights and market intelligence to inform editorial priorities and content investment decisions.

Audience, Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Develop frameworks for understanding client interests, audience engagement patterns, and emerging content consumption behaviors.
• Conduct competitive and market intelligence analyses to identify changes in competitor positioning, messaging, content formats, and distribution strategies.
• Synthesize industry, client, and performance signals into strategic recommendations that inform content priorities and marketing decisions.
• Serve as a source of insight on content innovation and best practices across financial services and adjacent industries.

Measurement, Optimization & Discoverability

• Establish and maintain measurement frameworks that connect content activity to business outcomes.
• Evaluate content, campaign, and channel performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Develop executive-level performance summaries and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with digital marketing and analytics teams to improve content discoverability across search, AI-powered search experiences, and emerging content discovery platforms.
• Monitor evolving trends in search, AI discoverability, and content consumption and recommend strategic adaptations.

AI Innovation & Enablement

• Evaluate and implement AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Develop repeatable processes that combine human expertise with AI-enabled automation.
• Partner across marketing teams to identify opportunities to leverage AI for research, content development, audience insights, and workflow optimization.
• Support the adoption of new technologies, tools, and best practices that strengthen marketing effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in content marketing, product marketing, investment marketing, strategy, or related disciplines within asset management or financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment concepts, and client communications.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing and content strategies.
• Experience leveraging data, audience insights, and market intelligence to inform decision-making.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with content management systems, analytics platforms, marketing technologies, and emerging AI capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, or related field; CFA, CAIA, or MBA preferred.
