Our programs deliver hands-on enrichment activities, homework support, active play, social-emotional learning, and more - all guided by a mission to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

As a Program Manager, you'll lead a team and oversee daily operations - coaching staff, ensuring safety and compliance, building relationships with families and school partners, and facilitating activities with kids as needed - while gaining valuable leadership and operations experience in the education field.

In short, your day-to-day leadership is what turns a good program into a great one, for your team and every child you serve.

Right At School is currently seeking a Part-Time Split-Shift Before and After-School Site Floating Program Manager for multiple locations within the J.O. Combs Unified School District.

Position Details:

- Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (commensurate with education and experience).

- Location: Located inside the JO Combs area schools.

- Split-Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday. Schedule will vary upon need.

- Before School: 6:10 am - 8:50 am RETURN

- After School: 2:50 pm - 6:00 pm (Wednesdays: 12:50 pm - 6:00 pm).

Arizona State equirements:

The center program manager must be 21 years of age with documentation of one of the following:

• Option 1:

1. At least 24 months of childcare experience, a high school diploma or equivalency, and
2. 6 credit hours of more in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field
3. from an accredited college or university, OR
4. at least 60 hours of actual instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or
5. workshops in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field, and an
6. additional 12 hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or
7. workshops in the areas of program administration, , planning, development, management

• Option 2:

1. At least 18 months childcare experience and
2. an N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential. OR
3. at least 24 credit hours from an accredited college or university, including at least 6
4. credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field;

• Option 3:

1. at least 6 months of childcare experience and an Associate's degree from an accredited
2. college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field;

• Option 4:

1. at least 3 months of childcare experience and a bachelor's degree from an accredited
2. college or university in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field.

• Must be able to complete state CPR/first aid training, provide a negative TB test, complete mandated reporter training, and hold a valid Arizona fingerprint card.
• You must have a minimum of 12 months of experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• One year of supervisor/management experience
• High School Diploma/GED.

We will also require:

- Proven experience as a before-and-after-school site program manager.

- Ability to reside locally within the surrounding J.O. Combs area.

- Capacity to manage a split-shift schedule and perform effectively under pressure.

- A positive, adaptable attitude focused on fostering an engaging environment for students.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance
• Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards
• Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate "name to face" attendance records
• Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours
• Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team
• Address and resolve day-to-day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families
• Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners
• High school diploma or GED completed
• Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs
• Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)
• Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children
• Comfortable modeling professional standards around students, parents, staff, and community members
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn
• At least 21 years of age
