Machine Operator II

Job Description

Machine Operator II is an important member of the team that builds our products. This position produceshigh quality linear energetic product in accordance with specific engineering drawings and manufacturinginstructions. Machine Operator II is responsible for safety, quality and delivery of products forour Aerospace and Defense markets. This role will report to the Production Supervisor of Linear & Transfer Systems in our Simsbury, CT location on flex shift.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for set up, configuration, and operation of roll forming mill to form linear energeticproducts in accordance with documented specifications
* Operate wire sheath extrusion machines
* Operate machines that load and reduce linear energetic product in accordance with specifications
* Perform fabrication of linear energetic product as defined in Manufacturing Instructions usingmachinery and tooling
* Clean, measure, cut, sample, spool, coil and pack product
* Maintain quality and accuracy requirements
* Perform all safety and quality checks on the equipment
* Work with engineering team to develop new manufacturing procedures for linear energeticproducts
* Contribute towards continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain a safe and orderly work environment

Requirements:
* Excels in a dynamic, changeable work environment

* Ability to work independently
* Certificate or greater in machining related field, or prior machine setup and/or metal workingmachine experience (1 year), or roll forming operator experience (1 year)
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English
* Must be able to pass company administered competency test
* Demonstrate capability to use basic measuring tools (Calipers, micrometer, etc.)
* Demonstrate capability to read and understand engineering drawings (preferred)
* Experience using Optical Comparators/Shadowgraphs (preferred)
* Background using 5S/lean manufacturing principles (preferred)

The anticipated wage range for this position is $30.64-$35.24/hour. The salary range represents the range EBAD has established in good faith for this position and may vary based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
