Description The Culinary Arts Instructor will instruct middle school and high school-aged students in introductory culinary arts techniques to include food safety, sanitation, menu development, and nutrition. The Culinary Arts Instructor will incorporate core academic concepts into the kitchen including reading and writing skills, math, and critical thinking. The Culinary Arts Instructor will be responsible for maintaining an engaging environment where students learn by doing. Additionally, the Culinary Arts Instructor will work collaboratively with the school administration and teachers to ensure the curriculum is appropriate for the students as well as to support the management of the kitchen. Ideally, students in the program should gain the skills required to gain entry level culinary employment. Essential Functions
