Analytic Tradecraft Specialist - Expert This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance. Cherokee Insights is seeking an Analytical Tradecraft Compliance Specialist to evaluate a sampling of finished intelligence products for the application of IC Analytic Tradecraft Standards and compliance with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 203 series supporting Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Compensation & Benefits: Pay commensurate with experience. Estimated Starting Salary: $140,000.00 to $150,000.00 Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Analytic Tradecraft Specialist - Expert Responsibilities Include:
Develops metrics, presents findings, and offers recommendations to the Government for improvement. Implement self-assessment measures to minimize subjective variations in the data collected. Identifies significant strengths, weaknesses, trends, gaps, and any other notable features of analytic tradecraft in the intelligence production evaluated. Assists the Government to improve the rigor of its evaluation methods and enhance the integrity of the product evaluation process. Employ analytic tradecraft compliance expertise to enable the identification, assessment, and disruption of threats to cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA. Consult with and advise the Analysis Division (AD) Director and DD on analytic tradecraft program development and implementation. Identify opportunities and advise the AD Director and AD Deputy Director (DD) to improve an ICD- compliant tradecraft program. Maintain awareness of up-to-date strategies, policies, directives, and procedures pertaining to CI analytical tradecraft. Provide recommendations on developing, structuring and implementing a formal research technology protection analytic tradecraft program, based on the most current intelligence community analytic standards, to include programmatic goals, objectives, division standards, and processes. Mentor and train the DCSA CI analytical cadre to promote and improve analytic cadre knowledge and employment of analytic tradecraft. Plan, develop, organize, and administer training workshops to educate DCSA CI analytical cadre on the IC standards of analytic tradecraft and how to apply the standards to DCSA products. Training will include topics covered in Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), including but not limited to Structured Analytic Techniques, Critical Thinking, and IC Collaboration. Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring sessions to give analysts hands-on practice applying workshop concepts and techniques to their own products and material. Develop and administer informative products that help to inform and educate analysts on IC directives and tradecraft. Review and provide feedback to draft products, ensuring adherence to analytical standards. Review analysts' products and evaluate for the application of standards of analytic tradecraft, substantive coherence, and analytic growth and development. Provide feedback, written and or verbal per DD, AD request, on draft products. Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Analytic Tradecraft Specialist - Expert Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Must have an active Top Secret / SCI level security clearance. Desired to have a minimum 20 years of experience related to the Analytic Tradecraft Compliance Specialist role with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Preferred to have a Master's degree Ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements. Has the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight. Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category. Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced. Structures analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.SS Able to work independently with minimal oversight and direction. Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution. Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence. Demonstrates ability to guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
