Overview

Join NFP, an Aon Company, as a Consultant in our National Employee Communications Practice and play a vital role in delivering seamless communication strategies for our valued clients. This outstanding opportunity lets you bring to bear your highly proven skills in a senior individual contributor role. You will guide clients, Account Teams, and Practice colleagues with little supervision. You will effectively implement benefits and total rewards communication strategies that engage and inform employees through multiple channels.

As a Consultant, you will handle an extensive client portfolio, facilitate planning discussions, and produce high-level communication solutions. These solutions include emails, presentations, guides, digital content, and videos. Using marketing and internal communications concepts alongside NFP's LASSO methodology, you will convert complex information into effective employee communications.

Collaborating alongside Account Teams and the PMO, you will establish project scopes, assess effort needs, manage deadlines, and deliver superior-quality work across several priorities. Your success will hinge on your strategic outcomes, communication proficiency, client happiness, and strong collaborative capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and Account Teams.
  • Lead discovery, planning, and communication strategy discussions.
  • Develop benefits and total rewards communication plans that align with client objectives.
  • Convert complex information into clear, engaging employee communications.
Campaign Development & Execution
  • Build and complete multi-channel communication campaigns.
  • Develop content including benefits guides, presentations, emails, web content, and video scripts.
  • Apply NFP's LASSO methodology and communication guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, clarity, and integrity.
Collaboration & Project Management
  • Partner with Account Teams, the PMO, and client collaborators to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Outline project boundaries, gauge the amount of work, and coordinate timelines and outputs.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and changes across collaborators.
  • Manage multiple clients and competing priorities while meeting commitments.
Reporting & Optimization
  • Present campaign performance results directly to clients.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Find opportunities to improve communication strategies and engagement.
Practice Contribution
  • Stay current on communication trends and emerging tools.
  • Share expertise and guidelines across the Practice.
  • Assist with prospect meetings and represent the National Employee Communications Practice when necessary.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, PR, HR, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in employee communications, benefits communications, marketing communications, or related fields.
  • Experience managing client relationships and providing strategic consulting.
  • Strong writing, editing, presentation, and content development skills.
  • Experience developing and accomplishing coordinated, multi-channel communication strategies.
  • Capability to outline tasks, assess required effort, and coordinate project deadlines.
  • Experience presenting to senior collaborators.
Preferred
  • Experience in benefits, total rewards, consulting, agency, or professional services environments.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, video tools, or similar software.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
