What You'll Do



  • Ensure the accurate recording of gas revenues and costs, proactively resolving any errors within the customer transaction process, from account setup to billing.
  • Review and verify gas supply and transportation invoices, meticulously identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure precise vendor payments.
  • Compare scheduled pipeline volumes against monthly transportation statements, coordinating with functional teams to pinpoint and resolve any variances.
  • Obtain and provide critical financial and statistical information to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data, collect and cross-reference supporting documentation to prepare and review accounts receivable and payable schedules, documents, and reports.
  • Prepare variance analyses and projections, reconcile account activity, and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Interpret and monitor corporate adherence to Regulatory, State, and Federal requirements, contributing to robust compliance.
  • Create, update, and control the content of various business system files, verifying system integrity and auditing data accuracy.
  • Provide financial and statistical information to internal and external auditors, governmental agencies, and other external organizations.
  • Participate in and/or lead project teams focused on the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated systems, process reengineering, or new requirement implementations.


What You'll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with energy trading or scheduling systems.
  • A solid understanding of natural gas markets, pipeline operations, and transportation regulations.
  • Effective communication skills for seamless coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to interpret complex contracts and regulatory documents.
