Position Summary

The Managed Services Specialist plays a key role in supporting the ongoing success and growth of managed service offerings. This position serves as a liaison between customers and internal teams, helping to coordinate service-related activities, support customer engagements, manage business processes, and contribute to operational and financial objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical aptitude, business acumen, and strong customer relationship skills. They are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, collaborating across departments, and supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational activities.

This role is based out of our The Woodlands, Texas office and is on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the managed services renewal process from initial review through contract execution.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for managed services programs and customer accounts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotes for managed services offerings, including recurring services, renewals, and service modifications.
  • Support the lifecycle of managed services programs, including customer onboarding, service modifications, contract administration, renewals, and ongoing account support.
  • Manage products by identifying new SKUs, maintaining distributor pricing, supporting pricing updates, and coordinating product lifecycle changes, including new product introductions and end-of-life (EOL) transitions within company systems and tools.
  • Serve as a customer-facing resource, building relationships and helping ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, service delivery, finance, and technical teams to support customer and business objectives.
  • Monitor and manage key business metrics, forecasts, budgets, and reporting related to managed services activities.
  • Coordinate renewal activities and identify opportunities to improve customer retention and service adoption.
  • Help evaluate customer requirements and align service solutions with business and technical needs.
  • Support process improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation within company systems and tools.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing, technical, operational, sales support, account management, or managed services role.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with business systems, CRM platforms, quoting tools, or similar applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting managed services, subscription-based services, telecommunications, SaaS, IT, networking, or related technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, or financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with project coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
