General Summary of Responsibilities

Join ourDigital Productsand &Technologyteam and help our subject matter experts tacklereal businesschallenges in the energy industry. As an intern,you'llengage with critical topics, sharpen your analytical, creative, and leadership skills, and contribute to developing innovative applications using agile tools. Your work matters: you will drive operational improvements that save costs for customers, improve performance so we can more effectively deliver heat and light, and develop applications that increase customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Support theDesign, documentation, configuration, testing, validation,implementation, and management ofCommercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software products, customizing solutions as needed to meet business requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.


  • Contribute toroutine configuration and maintenance activities to ensure software systemsoperatesecurely, efficiently, and effectively.


  • Helpidentifyand work within constraints of vendor platforms whileoptimizingperformance and functionality despite technical limitations, licensing restrictions, or integration challenges.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience




  • CurrentlyEnrolled and actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in the business or engineering field majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.


  • TheminimumGPA requirement for this internship position is 2.7.



Preferred Experience




  • Coursework, class projects, student organization involvement, or prior internship experience related to software, information systems, computer science, engineering, data, or technology(e.g.,SQL, data modeling)


  • Exposure toconfigure, testing, troubleshooting, or supporting softwareapplications(e.g.,QA testing,PowerShell,Test cases).


  • Interest in learning how Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) platforms are configured,maintained, integrated, and used to support businessprocesses(SAP, ServiceNow,ArcGIS,etc.).


  • Experience creating or updating documentation such as project notes, technical instructions, user guides, test results, ReadMe files, or process documentation.


  • Familiarity with basic software development concepts, scripting, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, or system integration concepts.


  • Exposure to agile tools or team-based project practices, such as user stories, backlog tracking, sprint planning, or collaborative delivery(Azure DevOps).


  • Demonstrated curiosity, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learnnew technologies, business processes, and industry-specificsystems.
