KeyLogic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our supporting the Department of Energy. The Engineer will be joining our team of developers to help with the maintenance of existing software applications and creation of new software applications. The position is Hybrid based out of Pittsburgh, PA or Morgantown, WV. Remote may be considered. Preference given to candidates located in PA and WV. The successful candidate will join an agile software development team that follows the scrum framework to deliver software incrementally to our customers. The Engineer will be required to update legacy applications as well as implement new applications. *This position supports a U.S. Government contract and requires U.S. Citizenship* Position Requirements * US Citizenship * Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a directly related technical field. (Degrees in unrelated disciplines, coding bootcamps, certifications, or self-study alone do not satisfy this requirement.) * 8+ years of work experience in IT or 6+ years with a MS in computer science or related field * 4+ years of experience developing web applications * 4+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server Desired Skills * .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, Razor Pages, React * RESTful Web API development * Azure DevOps, GitHub, automated pipelines * SQL Server and performance tuning * DevExpress/DevExtreme (preferred) * Knowledge of Agile software development and Scrum framework Position Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Razor Pages, React, Entity Framework Core, and SQL Server. * Modify legacy applications to implement new requirements, enhancements, and defect fixes. * Contribute to system architecture and platform design, including reusable components, shared services, and integration patterns. * Collaborate with technical and non technical stakeholders to define and estimate user stories. * Participate in customer meetings to discuss requirements, design approaches, and demonstrate completed work. * Engage fully in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement in development practices. * Support data integration, reporting efforts, and quality initiatives with business analysts. * Pursue professional growth with emerging technologies relevant to the evolving technical stack.
