About the Opportunity:
- We're looking for a FRACAS Systems Specialist Engineer to help improve the reliability and performance of complex Department of Defense (DoD) communications systems, including wideband, narrowband, and SATCOM platforms.

What You'll Do:
- Lead FRACAS activities, including failure investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Investigate design, production, and field failures across communications systems and components, providing recommendations to the Failure Review Board.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Programs, Material Control, and Quality teams to resolve issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain the FRACAS database, track open investigations, monitor status, and prepare clear reports for management and customers.
- Review troubleshooting and fault-isolation procedures, perform functional testing, and prepare detailed repair, warranty, and MRO reports documenting findings and recommendations.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, reliability engineering, failure analysis, or a closely related engineering.
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Master's Degree in Science or Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Direct experience supporting a FRACAS program.
- Familiarity with FRACAS software or databases and a working knowledge of Reliability Analysis and Failure Mode / Fault Tree Analysis.
- Understanding of engineering architecture and design concepts, along with a basic understanding of engineering practices and procedures
- Experience troubleshooting complex electronic systems, including data link and mechanical systems.
- Prepares and generates detailed repair reports for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) and Warranty return units, documenting findings, root cause analysis, corrective actions taken, and disposition recommendations.
- Presentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Understanding of coordination of project(s) and efforts of technical support personnel.
- A good background in data mining using Business Objects and SQL.
- Ability to productively contribute work, ideas, and collaboration as part of a team.
- Applicants with experience performing Reliability and FRACAS-specific analysis and activities.
- Applicants must be self-motivated and able to manage and complete their projects within budget and schedule constraints.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to interact with senior customer organizations and personnel.
