- Join a dynamic accounting team as an Accounting Specialist, supporting a range of accounting functions including cash, fixed assets, intercompany, accounts payable, payroll, time and labor, and leases. What You'll Do:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, reporting schedules, and variance analyses across multiple accounting areas.
- Evaluate financial data, agreements, reports, and other information to determine appropriate accounting treatment and identify trends or improvement opportunities.
- Apply GAAP, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, ASC 842, and ASC 360 in day-to-day accounting activities.
- Support internal and external audit requests while explaining and interpreting accounting policies, procedures, and practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, while providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 8+ years of Lease accounting experience
- 8+ years of experience in driving and leading special projects
- 8+ years of experience with automation
What Sets You Apart:
- Bachelor's Degree
- CPA, CFA, CPP or CMA designation
- Proficiency in accounting software Costpoint and CoStar, or automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Copilot)
- Experience with Fixed Assets
- Experience with external auditors (e.g., Big 4, Government) and audit requirements for internal controls (e.g., SOX) and government compliance (e.g., DCAA)
- Strong communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
- Teamwork
- Fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Costpoint, HFM, ARCS, and CoStar.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
