Impact the Moment

When was the last time you experienced the impact of your work? Our K-12 team thrives on building meaningful relationships with educators and learners while bringing innovative solutions to market. As Product Marketing Manager, Assessment + Personalization, you will help shape how McGraw Hill brings assessment, personalization, GenAI, and professional learning solutions to educators and the broader K-12 market. Your insights and marketing expertise will help create clarity, differentiation, and meaningful connections across our portfolio.

How can you make an impact?

As part of the Marketing team, you will leverage market research and voice-of-customer data to develop cross-discipline storylines and strategies that build trust, appeal, and differentiation. You will collaborate with Portfolio Marketing to connect these narratives to curriculum while helping inform product development across product lines.

You will also lead high-impact marketing initiatives spanning customer segmentation, market assessment, competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market execution. A key focus will be supporting the launch of a new literacy assessment in the K-12 market while maintaining a strong understanding of assessment trends, customer needs, competitors, and emerging opportunities.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What can you expect from the position?

  • Bring insightful questions and customer perspectives to product teams as they develop next-generation tools and services, synthesizing data from multiple sources into strategic recommendations.
  • Lead market research and analysis across the K-12 assessment landscape to identify customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities that inform marketing and assessment strategy.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, and Product Development to integrate the voice of the customer into strategies, positioning, product development, and go-to-market plans.
  • Support the go-to-market strategy and execution for a new literacy assessment, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Sales, Product, and external partners.
  • Develop competitive positioning and differentiation, including sales support and marketing strategies, while contributing to segmentation, pricing, and market assessment initiatives.
  • Write and edit copy and manage creative production for promotional and thought leadership content, internal training and presentations, customer-facing materials, and sales enablement assets while managing resources, schedules, and external agencies to ensure timely execution.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Marketing Communications, Product Marketing, or related marketing or sales functions; educational publishing industry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to synthesize research and data, ask thoughtful questions, challenge conventional thinking, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and collaborate effectively across Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time and on budget.
  • Experience with segmentation, positioning, pricing, and new product development practices is a plus.
