Agile Trainer

Role Overview

The Agile Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering high-impact training experiences that guide teams and leaders through Agile transformation within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. This role blends practical Agile expertise with instructional excellence to improve organizational flow, predictability, and outcomes across programs and portfolios.

• Design and facilitate engaging Agile-aligned training sessions, workshops, and coaching engagements for teams, Scrum Masters, Product Management, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and senior leaders
• Navigate teams and leaders through Agile implementation, covering structure, roles, principles, and practices to drive measurable improvements in delivery flow and business outcomes
• Deliver all SAFe certification courses. That align to the given transformation requirements.
• Assess team and organizational Agile maturity and develop tailored learning paths to accelerate adoption
• Support Agile Release Train (ART) launches, PI Planning events, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partner with RTEs, Agile Coaches, and leadership to align training strategy with Transformation execution goals
• Develop and maintain training content, including presentations, job aids, simulations, and e-learning modules grounded in the latest SAFe guidance grounded in Agile techniques.
• Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics tied to flow, quality, and predictability

• Active SAFe Certification(s)
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
• 3+ years of hands-on Agile work experience in a practitioner role (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Coach, or RTE) within a SAFe or scaled Agile environment
• 2+ years of experience delivering Agile or SAFe training to diverse audiences, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational complexity and facilitate change at the team, program, and portfolio levels
• Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices, including PI Planning, ART execution, Lean-Agile mindset, and DevSecOps integration .
• Demonstrating the ability to 'Coach in the moment' during trainings on Agile best practices.

• Experience supporting large-scale SAFe transformations across multiple Agile Release Trains
• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps
• Background in adult learning principles, instructional design, or facilitation methodologies
• Exposure to Lean portfolio management and value stream mapping
