Overview
USU Eastern is seeking a dependable and motivated PartTime Grounds Employee to assist with the upkeep and appearance of campus grounds. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is physically capable, and is willing to assist other departments as needed.

Parttime during the academic year

Schedule may vary and could include early mornings or occasional weekends

Responsibilities
  • Mow lawns and maintain turf areas
  • Trim grass, shrubs, and landscaped areas
  • Edge sidewalks, curbs, and landscaped borders
  • Pull weeds and assist with general landscape maintenance
  • Empty and maintain outdoor trash and recycling receptacles
  • Assist with seasonal cleanup, including leaf removal and debris cleanup
  • Operate basic groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist other campus departments with tasks or projects as needed
  • Help with Motor pool & Mail when needed
  • Follow safety procedures and campus policies at all times
  • Up to 40 hours per week during the summer, based on departmental needs


Qualifications
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Previous groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred but not required
