University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.



Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $25.25 per hour.

Location:Watson College of Education at CSUSB.



Work Schedule


19 hours per week. Schedule will vary. Generally Monday through Friday within the hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities

Be responsible for maintaining general office records, compiling and updating student databases and program financial records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with administration, faculty, staff and students. The candidate must be a self-starter who works well both independently and as a member of a team. Finally, it is important that the candidate works well in a fastpaced environment under tight deadlines.



  • Implement systems to document and monitor program services and will maintain program databases and spreadsheets to track Project Impact applicants, students, program completers, and mentors.
  • Implement systems to document and maintain databases to track sponsor, collaborating agencies, and Memorandum of Understanding.
  • Responsible for billing, invoicing, and preparing budget reports for Project Impact.
  • Work with University Financial Aid Office to process student support payments and scholarships for all Project Impact students.
  • Document and monitor program services to students and maintain program databases and spreadsheets.
  • Provide excellent support to current and prospective students corresponding via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings to provide assistance with program admissions, enrollment, supervision, and any other inquiries or concerns.
  • Notify current students before census if they are not enrolled in the proper courses every semester.
  • Process requisitions for purchase orders
  • Maintain an active corporate card for various purchases
  • Process Direct Pay forms as needed.
  • Use Concur for travel requests and expenses for the program including Director's travel.
  • Arrange payments for guest speakers and facilitate the paperwork for the for payment.
  • Processes PTR's for new hires and renewals for each fiscal year.
  • Assist with auxiliary timesheets as needed.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping and financial information data. Summarize data related to administrative reports and other activities.
  • Occasional travel to regional events.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications



  • Education:

    • High School diploma or its equivalent.


  • Experience:


    • Five years of progressively responsible experience in general office clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent.



  • Other:


    • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.


    • Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.


    • Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems.


    • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently, and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist.


    • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.


    • Ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas.


    • Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions.


    • Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference.


    • Ability to effectively write and present own reports.


    • Ability to effectively handle interpersonal interactions at all levels and handle highly sensitive interpersonal situations.


    • Ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.


    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with administration, faculty, staff, students and community school district personnel.


    • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.


    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
