As a Commercial Roofing Foreman, you will lead roofing crews in the field and oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive commercial roofing experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to developing team members while delivering exceptional results.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate commercial roofing crews on active job sites.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, metal, and built-up roofing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
  • Conduct daily crew meetings, safety briefings, and jobsite inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and local building codes.
  • Monitor project schedules, productivity, material usage, and jobsite quality.
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, and site logistics to maintain project progress.
  • Communicate project status, delays, safety concerns, and resource needs to project management.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members while fostering a culture of accountability and craftsmanship.
  • Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, timecards, daily reports, and safety records.
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of company vehicles, lifts, cranes, and roofing equipment.
  • Represent Tilsen professionally with clients, inspectors, building owners, and other trades.


Experience & Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of commercial roofing experience, including previous crew lead or foreman experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation methods, and safety practices.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience directing and motivating field crews.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • CDL and/or crane certification is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required


Experience & Qualifications:


  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and work at heights for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, lifts, and other jobsite equipment.
