We're seeking a Project Engineer to join our Government Solutions team serving public agency clients throughout the Bay Area. Based in the Richmond area, this role will support the delivery of transportation and capital improvement projects (CIP), including roadway, complete streets, multimodal, and municipal infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering design and experience working on public infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll collaborate with project managers, agency staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through bidding and construction support. Candidates should be comfortable applying standard engineering principles, preparing technical plans and specifications, coordinating with stakeholders, and managing project tasks with increasing levels of independence. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with public agency clients, contribute to projects that improve local communities, and continue developing technical, project management, and leadership skills within a collaborative team environment. Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations. Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.
