SUMMARY:
This role is part of the Digital Marketing department, supporting Nintendo's online web infrastructure and associated applications by designing, architecting, deploying, and maintaining these systems for Nintendo.com. Tech stack includes Terraform, AWS, Fastly, Sentry, etc.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES



  • Designs, builds and maintains reliable and scalable applications on Linux servers, both On-prem and cloudto support internally or externally developed applications.
  • Partners with development teams by providing infrastructure assistance and guidance from the earlyphases of product development.
  • Collaborates with engineers in peer teams to develop solutions that meet operational goals, leveragingautomation and process.
  • Submits software fixes for deficiencies within the area of expertise or operational responsibility.
  • Owns, drives and is accountable to for KPIs pertaining to reliability, resiliency, durability, and uptimecontributing to defining SLOs.
  • Leads and directs efforts for requirements gathering, building and implementing test plans, performingquality reviews, and fixing operational issues.
  • Troubleshoots, evaluates and resolves system and application challenges.
  • Builds automation to reduce the cost of errors, improve CI/CD processes, and increase developerefficiency.
  • Performs peer review of solutions developed by others, and potentially other teams, ensuring that bestpractices and internal standards are being followed.
  • Runs Infrastructure as a code with CloudFormation/Terraform.
  • Experience and knowledge of AWS Container Services such as EKS and ECS.
  • Participates in 24x7 on call cycle to support and troubleshoot products and solutions in multipleenvironments.


SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS



  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in various system development technologies, patterns andpractices.
  • Experience with automation methodologies such as continuous integration/delivery. (CI/CD)
  • Experience writing, documenting, bundling and publishing code for reuse by others is extremely helpful.
  • Proficiency in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of one or more server operating system families (Linux, Windows, BSD, etc).
  • Proficiency with version control tools (svn, git, etc).
  • Proficiency with cloud-based web services platforms (AWS, Azure) and services (CloudFront, Lambda, S3, etc).
  • Proficiency with application performance monitoring (APM) technologies. Experience with content delivery networks (CDN) a plus
  • Some experience with SDLC processes (code review, release management, etc.)
  • Some experience with networking equipment, protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, etc) and troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to write code in at least one language; comfortable implementing both functionality and tests, and reviewing others' code. (Bash, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes the base pay range listed below, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
