Position Summary:

The Customer Care - Contractor provides front-line customer service support to GSFS Group customers, dealers, and business partners. This role is responsible for responding to inbound calls, assisting with general inquiries, researching information, documenting interactions, and helping ensure customers receive timely, accurate, and professional service. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced call center environment, and able to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Respond to a high volume of inbound customer and business partner calls in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Assist callers with general questions, account or contract information, status updates, and other service-related inquiries within established guidelines.
    • Research customer inquiries using internal systems and available resources to provide accurate information and appropriate next steps.
    • Document customer interactions, inquiries, and outcomes accurately and completely in applicable systems.
    • Route or escalate complex questions and issues to the appropriate team when additional assistance is required.
    • Follow established call handling procedures, scripts, workflows, and service standards.
    • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle customer and business information.
    • Meet established expectations for attendance, schedule adherence, call quality, productivity, and customer service.
    • Participate in required training and coaching to maintain knowledge of products, systems, procedures, and service expectations.
    • Support additional call center and administrative activities as business needs require.

What We Need From You

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers and business partners.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems while assisting callers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information.
  • Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured, high-volume environment.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous call center, contact center, or high-volume customer service experience.
    • Experience supporting customers in the automotive, insurance, financial services, warranty, or related industries.
    • Experience using CRM, customer service, or case management systems.

Physical and Environmental Requirements
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by a Contractor to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the Contractor is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The Contractor is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The Contractor must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
