POSITION TITLE: Director of Housekeeping
DEPARTMENT: Rooms Division
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations/Director of Rooms

BASIC FUNCTION: The Director of Housekeeping will manage, direct, and coordinate all functions of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments and maintain impeccable levels of cleanliness and upkeep of the Resort, while ensuring cost controls are in place.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Training, & Work Experience)
Inspect all VIP rooms daily.
Monitor guest's complaints accordingly and take corrective action when necessary.
Maintain and administer quarterly linen inventories, responsible for action plans to address shrinkage.
Assist with budget process as required by the Hotel Manager.
Develop master cleaning schedules and administer accordingly.
Monitor all Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate supplies are always available, complete analysis of amenity consumption.
Maintain accurate payroll information for the housekeeping and laundry department and control of same in accordance with plan.
To ensure that all Systems and Controls, Loss Prevention, and Energy Conservation guidelines are online.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, consistent Guest Service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, request & Complaints using Guest Service Skills. Exhibits hospitality while striving to exceed Guest expectations.
Resolves difficult or unusual problems arising with Guests, while maintaining good Guest relationships, demonstrating outstanding hospitality through the corrective action taken.
Maintains open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
Identify means of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.
Participates in energy conservation efforts.
Respects Hotel property and work areas by keeping them clean, well maintained, stocked, and properly stored. Eliminates waste of supplies.
Maintains Omni standards of cleanliness and a consistent guest experience.
Maintains a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence, in service and cleanliness.
Maintains close coordination, communication, and interaction with the Front Office and other departments. To ensure a smooth, efficient, and economic operation in the Housekeeping and Laundry departments. To specify and purchase supplies, and record all data pertaining to the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.
Effectively monitors the preventative Maintenance and Cleanliness (CARE) program throughout the hotel.
Constantly monitors and control all labor cost for Housekeeping and Laundry departments, achieving targeted payroll.
Maintains Housekeeping turnover to an acceptable level, while developing Associates for future positions.
Maintains close coordination, communication, and interaction with front office, to ensure rooms are available for sale, and with Engineering to ensure guest room and all public areas are at peak operative levels.
Directly controls the issuance and retrieval of associate uniforms.
Directly controls the key control program for all Housekeeping associates.
Monitors all guest requests to ensure they are met within the prescribed time limits
Maintains and administer monthly linen inventories, responsible for action plans to address shrinkage.

Monitors all Housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate supplies are always available, complete analysis of amenity consumption.

Ensures that all Systems and Controls, Loss Prevention, and Energy Conservation guidelines are on line.
HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Completes Corporate mandated consumption(s) sheets.
Daily Medallia board of Room cleanliness Scores.
Ensures all Purchase Orders are processed through the proper PO System -.Birchstreet.
Completes weekly Spa Walk Troughs with the Spa Director.
Maintains Cleanliness levels of Spa and Fitness center.
Ensures Monthly OST Departmental Meetings are held and minutes submitted to ASC and DOR/DOO.
Ensures all laundry equipment is in always in working order and maintained to ensure efficiencies.
Submit monthly inventories to be submitted no later than 10th of month to Omni's Corporate office.
Ensures that MOS Audits are Administered and submitted to Omni's Corporate office no later than the 15th of the month.
Completes weekly Resort Walk Troughs with the Director of Engineering.
Inspect all VIP rooms daily.
Inspect and tour all public areas several times daily.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Responds to any reasonable task as assigned by Executive Committee.
Assists in other departments as needed.
Attends monthly departmental and property meetings.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:
Computer Skills.
Assorted cleaning chemicals as outlined in MSDS manuals.
Laundry Equipment.
Telephone and radio.
Carpet cleaning equipment
ENVIRONMENT: Interior of hotel with both hard and carpeted surfaces, occasional work on exterior of hotel. Good ventilation with artificial lighting.
