Description

The Program Management Growth Director role is responsible for supporting our Business Units in driving the company's growth, market positioning, and business development strategy for Brown and Caldwell's Program Management practice. This leadership role serves as the bridge between client needs, market opportunities, and delivery capabilities, developing strategic relationships with public and private utility and infrastructure clients, primarily leading water and wastewater programs while advancing program management solutions that improve project outcomes and client value. This role reports to the Director of Program Management and is accountable for developing a sustainable pipeline of program management opportunities, securing strategic wins, and supporting the profitable growth of the company.

Responsibilities



  • Lead implementation of the program management go-to-market strategy across priority markets, clients, and pursuits, leading primarily water and wastewater infrastructure programs.
  • Partner with Business Units, client service managers, technical market leaders, and growth leaders to identify, qualify, and advance program management opportunities by providing market intelligence, growth strategies, pursuit support, and solution development expertise.
  • Management and oversight of the company's strategic portfolio of growth opportunities. Support in building the pursuit pipeline on the program management, PMO, and capital planning opportunities across Areas and Business Units. Track and report on program opportunities, capture stage, win themes, win/loss insights, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate and stay in close contact with client service managers and marketing teams in opportunity identification, qualification, capture planning, and strategic top pursuits development.
  • Support client service teams in building executive-level client relationships by serving as a program management resource and trusted advisor.
  • Executive-level client engagements and relationship development. Understand client business objectives and align Brown and Caldwell solutions to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Will be responsible, in various leadership capacities, for leading and supporting strategic pursuits and major proposal efforts for program management opportunities.
  • Develop capture strategies, competitive positioning, identify key resources, teaming approaches, and winning plans.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare presentations, interviews, qualifications, and proposals.
  • Collaborate with technical, project delivery, and business unit leaders to shape pursuits and develop winning program management solutions.
  • Understand client critical success factors. Leverage existing relationships to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the critical success factors (CSFs) of client organizations (including the various departments and employees within the organization).
  • Develop value propositions, service offerings, and delivery frameworks that differentiate Brown and Caldwell in the marketplace.
  • Lead in developing and maintaining sales enablement tools, including client conversation guides, pitch materials, proposal content, proof points, and positioning resources.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to support conference strategy, thought leadership, client workshops, and external positioning.
  • Represent Brown and Caldwell during workshops, industry conferences, and client engagement events.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Mentorship



  • Provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.


Skills and Competencies



  • Sound understanding of program management, complex projects, engineering and construction delivery, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of varying project delivery methods: With ability to successfully develop new business opportunities including: identifying program, design-build, and owner advisor opportunities, and making appropriate decisions on whether or not to pursue opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally (verbal and written) for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence with cross-functional business partners.


Experience



  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the industry with increasing responsibility in sales and strategy.
  • Experience in developing winning project development strategies including identifying and engaging suitable teaming partners in appropriate teaming arrangements in the best interests of BC and its clients.
  • Proven experience developing growth strategies, account portfolios, executive engagement programs, and enterprise business development initiatives.
  • Experience using data, market intelligence, and client insights to drive strategic decision-making and growth investment priorities.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or construction management, or equivalent experience required.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $129,000 - $177,000
Location B: $142,000 - $194,000
Location C: $155,000 - $212,000
