Responsibilities

The Chief Executive Officer provides overall strategic and operational leadership for Oklahoma Heart Hospital and its affiliated organizations. This position is accountable for advancing the organization's mission, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational performance, fostering strong physician and community relationships, and driving sustainable growth and innovation.

  • Provide strategic vision, direction, and leadership for all operations of Oklahoma Heart Hospital (OHH), Oklahoma Heart Hospital - South Campus, Oklahoma Heart Hospital Physicians, and affiliated organizations.
  • Ensure effective operational planning, implementation, and fiscal management to support organizational growth and long-term sustainability.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing executive leadership team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective care across the organization.
  • Serve as a key representative of OHH within the medical community, healthcare industry, and news media.
  • Build strong relationships with physicians, medical staff, governing boards, employees, and other key stakeholders.
  • Champion OHH's mission, vision, and values while fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead strategic business development, growth initiatives, and opportunities to diversify and expand organizational services.
  • Serve as a consensus builder and innovative leader, effectively balancing the needs of patients, physicians, employees, and the organization.

Qualifications

Education:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school preferred. Advanced degree in Health Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent executive leadership experience.

Experience:

  • Licensed physician (MD or DO) preferred with a minimum of seven (7) years of management experience in an acute care healthcare setting.
  • Medical Director or equivalent physician leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in physician relations, medical staff operations, managed care, quality, and performance improvement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, governing boards, employees, and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership, innovation, business development, and revenue growth experience.
  • Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and organizational growth.
