Internship, Cost Reduction, Energy Engineering (Winter/Spring 2027)

This position is expected to start around January 2027 and continue through the entire Spring term (ending approximately May 2027 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per weekbeforeapplying. Again, please do not apply until you know you can work 40 hours per week. This is required for external applicants. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

The Tesla Charging team is looking for a driven, motivated, and collaborative intern to join our Cost Reduction team and help accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. As part of this team, you will work across the organization to identify and execute initiatives that minimize the cost of deploying and operating Tesla's global Supercharger network; one of the most critical infrastructure assets in the clean energy transition.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Energy Systems, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort working with large datasets to extract actionable insights

• Proficiencyin Excel for financial modeling; experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and automation

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;able to distill complex analysis into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Interest in energy, clean technology, EV infrastructure, or sustainability is a strong plus

• Prior experience or coursework in utility rate analysis, energy economics, project finance, or government grants/policy is a plus but notrequired
