Furnace DevelopmentProgram Description:

The Furnace Development Program prepares participants for roles with glass melting responsibilities within Owens Corning manufacturing facilities.Throughout the program, participants are mentored by experienced professionals to learn technical aspects of the batching and glass melting processes essential to manufacturing our signature PINK Next Gen fiberglasinsulation. Many assignments begin in one of our glass manufacturing facilities in the U.S. or at the Owens Corning Science & Technology Center in Granville, Ohio. This opportunityprovides forexposure to day-to-day operations, as well as interactions with maintenance, operations, and technical teams.

Duration:The program lasts24 months.

ProgramOutcome:Throughout participation in the Furnace Development Program, the participant will be expected to complete a body of knowledge in a self-directed manner, periodically checking in/reviewing with mentor on progress. Upon successful program completion,participantwill be placed in a manufacturing facility. In the event a manufacturing position is not available, the participant might work in the Melting Center of Excellence. Either path gives theparticipantthe opportunity toleverageexperience/knowledge gained in the Furnace Development Program in a full-time role and advance their career.
