Position Title: Logistics Coordinator
Wage: $28.85 - $33.65/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping, invoicing, and customer service activities. This role, based in Spring, TX (77389), works closely with freight carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure accurate shipping documentation, timely deliveries, and effective resolution of freight-related issues. Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities: - Obtain shipping quotes and coordinate with various freight carriers - Prepare and process weekly truck shipment invoices - Coordinate with points of contact to verify shipping information and schedule delivery appointments - Process invoices for LTL shipments, UPS shipments, will-call orders, consignments, and release orders - Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, tracking information, and proof of delivery (POD) requests - Research and resolve freight invoice disputes and claims - Maintain accurate shipping and invoicing records - Support company quality, environmental, health, and safety requirements as applicable Requirements for Logistics Coordinator: - High school diploma or equivalent required - 1-3 years of experience in logistics, shipping, transportation coordination, customer service, or a related administrative role - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills - Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt to changing priorities - NetSuite experience is a plus but not required - Ability to read and write in English or Spanish; Bilingual preferred Please Be Prepared for Our AI Recruiter to Ask These Mandatory Questions: - What Transportation Management Systems (TMS) have you used, and what did you use them for? - Walk me through a shipment from the time an order is released until the customer receives it. - How do you decide which carrier to use for a shipment? - Tell me about a transportation problem you've experienced and how you resolved it. - Have you ever reduced freight costs or improved a transportation process?
