Position Title: Industrial Painter - Powder Application
Wage: $24.50-$28.00/hour Starting pay based on experience Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm-12:00am, Some Saturday OT required QPS Employment Group is hiring an Industrial Painter - Powder Application for a company in Decatur, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Industrial Painter - Powder Application Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Prepare parts for powder coating through cleaning, masking, hanging, and surface preparation processes - Set up and operate powder coating equipment and related systems - Mix, load, and monitor powder materials to ensure proper application and finish quality - Use thickness gauges, gloss gauges, and other measuring equipment to verify coating specifications - Apply primers, specialty coatings, and finish coats as required - Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer and company quality standards - Perform color changes, equipment adjustments, and routine maintenance of spray equipment - Maintain curing ovens and monitor coating processes to ensure proper adhesion and finish - Clean spray booths, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient environment - Safely handle coating materials and follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations - Wear required PPE and follow all company safety procedures Industrial Painter - Powder Application Requirements: - Previous powder coating or industrial painting experience preferred - Experience operating electrostatic powder coating equipment - Knowledge of coating thickness measurements and quality standards - Ability to read and interpret work instructions and production specifications - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship - Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - Ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Benefits: Performance Bonus; Paid Holidays; Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance; Life Insurance; 401(k) QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
