The Lead Construction Supervisor plays a key leadership role in delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality construction and maintenance projects that support critical energy infrastructure and customer service. Reporting to the Manager, this position provides oversight and direction to external contract construction crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company, regulatory, and environmental standards. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead complex field operations, drive operational excellence, and make a direct impact on the communities we serve. The Lead Construction Supervisor partners closely with contractors, internal stakeholders, and field personnel to coordinate daily activities, maintain high standards of workmanship, and ensure projects are executed on schedule and with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Beyond day-to-day operations, this position serves as a mentor and resource for developing supervisors and team members, helping to build leadership capability and strengthen organizational performance. The Lead Construction Supervisor also collaborates with management on workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and strategic job assignments, offering significant opportunities to influence business outcomes while advancing their own professional growth and leadership career. Salary: $124,000 - $145,000 per year National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring. For more information, please view NYC Local Law 144. This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
