Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as a key leader within the Controllers organization. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role will strengthen trust in financial results, build organizational capability, advance a robust control environment, and help the business create long-term value through sound financial stewardship and decision support.

The successful candidate will bring broad accounting and leadership experience, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead through complexity, change, and ambiguity. This leader will combine disciplined controllership with a transformation mindset and will influence outcomes through trusted relationships and principled leadership.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting organization by strengthening leadership capability, building talent pipelines, establishing clear accountability, and aligning resources with the highest-value opportunities
  • Prott the integrity of financial reporting through effective oversight of accounting operations, financial statements, internal controls, audit activities, and risk management processes.
  • Partner with business and manufacturing leaders to translate business and operational priorities into capability priorities that enable strong decision support and actions that improve long-term business outcomes.
  • Drive disciplined execution across reporting, controls, audits, compliance activities, and strategic initiatives by establishing clear priorities, ownership, operating cadences, and measures of success.
  • Champion transformation through simplification, standardization, automation, and the effective use of technology, data, analytics, and AI to improve scalability, insight, control effectiveness, and organizational efficiency.
  • Communicate complex accounting and business matters clearly and effectively to senior leaders, providing transparent recommendations, surfacing risks early, and enabling informed decision-making.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience leading accounting, controllership, financial reporting, or finance organizations within a complex business environment
  • Experience overseeing financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and audit activities
  • Experience developing leaders and building organizational capability through coaching, delegation, and accountability
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders across finance and business functions to support strategic decision-making
  • Experience leading process, systems, technology, data, or organizational transformation initiatives within accounting or finance functions
  • Experience leveraging technology, analytics, automation, or artificial intelligence to improve finance and accounting outcomes

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant professional accounting certification
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying complex accounting guidance
  • Experience leading accounting or controllership functions within a large, multi-business, or global organization
  • Experience leading through transactions, organizational change, system implementations, investigations, or other high-impact events
