As a Materials Runner, you'll play a vital role in our manufacturing team, ensuring flawless operations and a clean, organized workspace!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Retrieve parts and materials, including OSB, for all jobs as needed by installers.
- Replenish point of use carts with necessary materials daily.
- Load pipe racks efficiently.
- Cut and stage insulation as required.
- Manage the relieving of material process in both the current system and future ERP system.
- Maintain, collect, and coordinate pallets and crates for return to identified suppliers.
- Dispose of crates and pallets that cannot be returned in their designated dumpster.
- Empty trash, cardboard, and metal containers regularly.
- Build crates for service and warranty as needed.
- Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team's success.
- Endeavor to build an enjoyable workplace environment that engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, encouraging individual responsibilities and ideas.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills across the organization.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret diverse instructions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
- Forklift certification and ERP system knowledge are a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic, occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate, and reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.
- Specific visual capabilities required include near vision, far vision, side vision, depth perception, and the ability to shift focus.
- Frequent requirements include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or feel, talking, and hearing.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop.
