We're looking for a Commercial Account Manager - Industrial to develop and grow relationships with industrial customers across an assigned territory. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted partner to customers by understanding their operational needs and connecting them with the right combination of lubricants, reliability services, fuel solutions, and value-added products and services. What You'll Do Customer & Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned industrial customers.
- Grow revenue, gross profit, and share of wallet across existing accounts.
- Understand customer operations and identify opportunities to provide additional products and services.
- Partner with RelaDyne's Reliability Services team to expand service offerings and customer solutions.
- Develop account strategies and customer plans aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline focused on achieving growth and budget objectives.
- Present new products, services, and value-added solutions to customers.
- Proactively follow up on customer orders, inquiries, and service opportunities.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new industrial sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Monitor customer purchasing behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop strategies to expand geographic coverage and strengthen RelaDyne's presence within the industrial market.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact, pricing, and account information in company systems.
- Maintain a weekly sales itinerary and effectively manage customer visits and sales activities.
Profitability & Strategic Planning
- Meet or exceed established sales and gross profit goals.
- Partner with Pricing to develop competitive, profitable account pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, and vendor partners to optimize product availability, service levels, and cost to serve.
- Monitor sales performance, product trends, and account profitability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with annual sales planning and customer growth strategies.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with branch leadership and internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Warehouse, Logistics, Credit, Reliability Services, and other support teams to resolve customer issues.
- Support and mentor Inside Sales team members through coaching and collaboration on account strategies.
- Communicate market conditions, pricing trends, competitive activity, and customer opportunities to leadership.
- Represent RelaDyne professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and company functions.
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years of experience in industrial sales, lubricant distribution, reliability services, or a related industry preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to develop customer relationships and generate revenue growth.
- Strong consultative selling and business development skills.
- Ability to understand customer operational needs and translate them into profitable solutions.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, customer purchasing trends, and market conditions.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business/CRM systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50-70% to support customers and business development activities.
- Valid driver's license
