Overview

Position Summary

As a Panel Drafter, you will support panel design projects by updating and maintaining electrical and control panel drawings based on markups, ensuring alignment with company and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

Update panel layout, detail, and electrical drawings based on redlines and markups.

Revise PLC module drawings and electrical schematics.

Interpret customer diagrams, specifications, and project documentation.

Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project teams to clarify scope and requirements.

Perform basic panel power and heat calculations.

Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to ensure drawing accuracy and quality.

Support design team in maintaining drafting standards and documentation consistency.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Basic understanding of electrical/control panel design concepts.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

Prior experience in panel design, controls, or industrial automation.

Exposure to PLC drawings and electrical schematics.

Associate degree or technical training in drafting, engineering technology, or related field.
