Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Access Control in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and communicating clearly with visitors and team members. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity while helping to deter incidents.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the food and beverage distribution location by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and documenting visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, gates, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter, while reporting unusual conditions or potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate security-related logs and reports for access activity, deliveries, incidents, and shift communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
