The Role:

The Odom Corporation is seeking a Night Warehouse Worker to ensure accurate and timely work is being performed to best meet the needs of the customers and the departmental goals for the overall company goals.

This position is for the daily receiving, stocking, and pulling of product for customer orders all in a timely and accurate manner.

What You'll Do:

Warehouse Operations



  • Daily loads and unloads delivery trucks.
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming product to verify receipt of items.
  • Stores product in bins, racks, on floors, or on shelves according to identifying information such as style, size, brand, or type of material.
  • Reads and efficiently works customer pick sheets to accurately determine items to be gathered, palletized, and distributed.
  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock with care, concern, and diligence.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and builds pallets safely and efficiently for successful delivery.


Inventory & Product Management



  • Examines stock to verify conformance to quality specifications and takes pride in products being distributed.
  • Keeps all warehouse locations neat, organized, and properly rotated to ensure product freshness.
  • Accurately documents the amount of products or items received, distributed, damaged, or set aside due to being out-of-date.
  • Participates in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles to count appropriate SKUs.
  • Maintains productivity and accuracy goals as assigned.


Equipment & Safety



  • Understands and utilizes company-specific computer systems and software to direct and control workflow.
  • Participates in training and certification programs for the proper and safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Helps maintain a safe and clean work environment by sweeping work areas, discarding trash, and removing empty boxes prior to the end of each shift.


What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications



  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Physically capable of lifting, moving, pushing, and pulling products on a repetitive basis.


Preferred Qualifications



  • One to three months of warehouse, distribution, or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of warehousing operations, forklift and pallet jack operation, pallet building, and inventory procedures.
