What to Expect
The role manages a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors on a shift (often day or night, with flexibility required). The supervisor ensures high performance against quality standards, meets production needs, owns shift quality metrics, coaches the team, and drives continuous improvement and root-cause problem solving. It is hands-on, people-oriented, and operates in a fast-paced manufacturing setting that may involve hazardous materials, PPE, and 5S/lean practices.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the quality team. Guide, schedule, and develop Quality Technicians own training, capability, and adherence to procedures, specs, and work instructions
  • Set priorities with partners . Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and other teams to set shift priorities, allocate labor, and resolve issues
  • Drive quality improvement . Lead validation, and root-cause work; escalate quality excursions when needed
  • Own metrics and line audits . Maintain quality performance metrics, audit lines, and vs. process/procedure; support material disposition
  • Coach and performance management. Run regular 1:1s, give feedback, set goals, and manage team performance
  • Uphold 5S, safety, and EHS. Enforce cleanliness and safety standards; keep training current; document incidents and correct hazards
  • Execute and report. Work from schematics/instructions for in-line decisions; report status to Quality leadership and management

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of leadership experience supervising a team of ~10 or more employees
  • Understanding general manufacturing processes, quality methodologies (e.g., core tools, problem-solving), and team leadership
  • Strong reliability, initiative, adaptability (including shift work/compressed schedules), multitasking, and ability to give constructive feedback while maintaining confidentiality
  • Effective verbal/written communication, attention to detail, prioritization, and English proficiency
  • Physical ability: Stand/walk 10+ hours, lift 10-20+ lbs regularly, climb ladders/stairs, work in loud environments, wear required PPE (including respirator as needed), distinguish colors, etc.
  • Technical aptitude with electronic/mechanical test & measurement systems; ability to read mechanical drawings/wiring diagrams; proficiency with Microsoft Office and data tools/business systems
  • Preferred/plus: Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent experience; quality certifications (Six Sigma, TQM); familiarity with measurement system analysis (Gage R&R), statistical techniques (ANOVA, t-tests, etc.), tolerance stack-ups, and specific metrology tools (e.g., Keyence microscopes, Zeiss CMMs) especially for incoming/quality lab role

    Expected Compensation
    $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
