Job Summary The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Core Facility at LJI is looking for a detail-oriented NGS Specialist I to conduct NGS workflows. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality data to internal and external researchers and perform duties in a reliable and reproducible manner. The NGS Specialist I is responsible for processing multiple sample types for the complete NGS workflow, including cell handling, RNA and DNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing. Additional responsibilities include working with a core team of specialists in the operation and maintenance of equipment, including multiple liquid handler platforms. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be adaptable, and have the ability to multitask. Candidates who complete a successful virtual screening will be asked to complete a skills-based assessment onsite as part of the interview process. Main Responsibilities
