Position Summary: Responsible for developing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety standards and programs for employees, suppliers and visitors at a facility to reduce vulnerability to hazards and likelihood of mishaps and to comply with government regulations. Develops contingencies for dealing with emergency situations, conducts safety audits, and investigates accidents. Ensures employees working in the facility have appropriate personal protective equipment. Trains managers and employees to know and observe all EHS policies, procedures and protocols. Position Responsibilities: In coordination with Senior Management and EHS staff at other facilities, plans, develops, and implements site-specific safety policies, procedures, and protocols that provide for a safe and healthy workplace. Promotes knowledge, attitudes, and practices that help to prevent occupational injuries, illnesses, and environmental harm.
