The Residential Loan Processor will work closely with borrowers, loan officers, attorneys, real estate professionals, and third-party vendors to ensure loans are processed accurately and efficiently from application through closing. You will also support loan operations functions and assist customers by answering incoming calls and providing outstanding customer service.


How you will accomplish this:
  • Prepare disclosures and provide them to borrowers timely, meeting all regulation requirements
  • Order and track appraisals, title work flood certificates, credit reports, verifications and other required documentation
  • Request and review documentation required for loans, submit to underwriting for review and decision
  • Prepare adverse action documents for denied and withdrawn files to ensure compliance
  • Collect prior-to-closing conditions for underwriter sign off, as needed
  • Prepare closing documents and coordinate loan closings with customers, attorneys and third parties
  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous, professional and timely manner as needed to assist Loan Officers
  • Maintain up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures and regulations
  • Assist with post-closing loan documentation and quality control reviews
  • Assist with booking and funding loans
  • Support the loan servicing functions, including documentation requests, payoffs and answering incoming telephone calls
  • Comply with the Bank's policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What you will bring to the role:
  • High school diploma or associate's degree plus 3-5 years of processing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, and lending practices, as well as regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills; able to effectively communicate with and respond to questions from customers, vendors and Originators
  • Computer proficiency, including strong Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
  • Effective management and execution of multiple priorities and tasks
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Registration with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) preferred but not required
