Drive Operational Excellence Through Total Productive Maintenance

Owens Corning is seeking a results-oriented TPM Lead to lead the evolution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) at our Brentwood, NH facility. This role is responsible for transforming TPM from a collection of activities into a sustainable, results-driven operating system that delivers measurable improvements in safety, quality, reliability, productivity, cost, and employee engagement.

As the site's TPM leader, coach, and change agent, you will partner with plant leadership, supervisors, pillar teams, and frontline employees to build TPM capability, accountability, and ownership across the organization. Success in this role will be measured by the performance improvements generated through TPM and the development of highly engaged teams that continuously improve equipment reliability and operational performance.

What You'll Do

TPM Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing Autonomous Maintenance (AM) teams that own equipment health and loss elimination.
  • Serve as the primary TPM coach and mentor for operators, supervisors, managers, and pillar leaders.
  • Advance TPM maturity across the site by providing leadership, guidance, and support to AM and TPM Pillar Teams.
  • Develop TPM capability through training, coaching, hands-on support, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Foster a culture where operators and frontline teams proactively solve problems, improve processes, and take ownership of their equipment.

Operational Excellence

  • Align TPM activities with business objectives to drive measurable improvements in OEE, reliability, productivity, quality, and cost.
  • Identify gaps between TPM implementation and operational performance and develop strategies to close them.
  • Challenge non-value-added TPM activities and redirect efforts toward initiatives that generate measurable business results.
  • Facilitate loss elimination activities and drive continuous improvement efforts across the plant.
  • Monitor and evaluate TPM effectiveness to ensure sustained operational improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), Focused Improvement (FI), Training & Development (T&D), EHS, and site leadership teams to address chronic losses and improve performance.
  • Support TPM audits, assessments, and maturity reviews while ensuring readiness is built through sustainable daily behaviors rather than event-driven preparation.
  • Drive accountability for TPM execution while maintaining ownership within operational teams.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the plant floor, spending the majority of time coaching teams, observing behaviors, and developing capability.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree and 4+ years of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of TPM systems beyond administrative support.
  • Experience deploying and accelerating TPM programs and pillars in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience serving as a Pillar Leader in one or more TPM pillars, including:

    • Autonomous Maintenance (AM)
    • Planned Maintenance (PM)
    • Focused Improvement (FI)
    • Training & Development (T&D)

  • Experience leading an Autonomous Maintenance team through at least AM Step 4.
  • Experience training and developing TPM expansion leaders.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes and drive change without direct authority.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional schedule flexibility and travel to other Owens Corning facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • TPM (JIPM) Certification.
  • Prior experience leading site-wide TPM initiatives or manufacturing transformation efforts.
  • Experience coaching teams and leaders through organizational and cultural change.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and lead through collaboration.
  • Sound business acumen and operational decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Growth mindset, learning agility, and adaptability.
  • Ability to build credibility and engagement at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and employee development.

Why This Role Matters

This is not a traditional TPM coordinator role. The TPM Lead will serve as a catalyst for cultural and operational transformation, helping create an environment where teams own their equipment, eliminate losses, solve problems proactively, and deliver sustained business results. The successful candidate will build the systems, behaviors, and capabilities necessary to achieve world-class manufacturing performance.
