Phlebotomist I

Location: Matthews, NC - 1401 Matthews Township Parkway

Duration: 3 Months

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking a Phlebotomist I to support an IOP location in Matthews, NC. The Phlebotomist will work as part of a team and must have experience performing blood draws on pediatric and geriatric patients.

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection according to established procedures.
• Perform venipuncture on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Properly identify patients and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
• Handle and process specimens according to established protocols.
• Provide a positive and professional patient experience.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a clinical environment.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience required.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Color vision is required.
• Must be able to meet required compliance and screening requirements.

• Experience or training with EPIC Systems.
• Previous experience working in an IOP or similar outpatient clinical setting.

• Negative THC screening required.
• Flu vaccination will be required once flu season begins.
• COVID vaccination is not required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended; candidates may decline and sign a declination form.
• Additional required vaccinations/compliance requirements may apply based on client policy.

• Individual onsite interview with the Hiring Manager.

Important: Candidates must have pediatric and geriatric blood-draw experience and be comfortable working as part of a team.
